Perhaps not the first name you would associate with a forestry business.  Maybe not.  But we think it defines our policy succinctly …

And we plant them well, so that they will thrive, which of course makes us the Ace of Spades.

Ok, pun over.  Our mission is to rejuvenate and restore our forests while promoting sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and local communities. Our commitment to planting trees goes beyond just replenishing landscapes; it’s about fostering ecosystems, enhancing biodiversity and creating a greener future for generations to come.

At Ace of Spades, we believe in the power of trees. They not only provide vital oxygen and habitat for wildlife but also combat climate change by sequestering carbon. Our team of skilled foresters work tirelessly to ensure that every tree we plant is suited to its environment, maximising its potential to thrive and contribute to the ecological balance.

Our Services

1. Planting: We partner with local governments, NGOs, and businesses to plant both new and regeneration woodlands. Through strategic planning we ensure that our reforestation efforts are efficient, effective and sustainable.  We plant across a wide range of terrain from open moorland, through craggy mountainside to lowland pasture.  
2. Maintenance: A well planted forest will, once established, generally look after itself.  To give your forest a head start we can offer spraying, weeding, screefing and boundary maintenance.
3. Felling: Whilst a lot of felling is mechanised these days, hand felling is still an essential skill that is needed in many instances.  Our team have all the necessary tickets to provide this service, skillfully and safely.
4. Aerial Surveys: A relatively new tool.  We can provide you with a detail photographic survey of either a planting or felling area to help create an effective work plan.
